Health, Safety and Technical Training Assessment

Step 3: Qualifications and training declaration

Health and Safety declaration

Part of going through the RoofCERT accreditation programme is confirming that relevant health and safety training is being received by each operative and to ensure that not only is work being installed to the correct standards but also with safety and health in mind, therefore a signed declaration is required from the employer to confirm this is the case.

If you hold a relevant National or Scottish Vocational Qualification (NVQ or SVQ), the RoofCERT accreditation process requires that you upload a copy of your qualification certificate to the system.

Your qualification must correlate to the roofing discipline you have selected to gain your RoofCERT accreditation in. For example some one with an NVQ Diploma in Roofing Occupations (Construction)—Roof Slater and Tiler would need to gain RoofCERT accreditation in the Roof Slating & Tiling discipline. It would not be possible to gain RoofCERT accreditation in another discipline such as single ply.
