So, you’ve got a National / Scottish Vocational Qualification and three years’ experience.
Pass a knowledge test specific to your chosen roofing specialism, upload evidence of qualifications and get employer declaration that you have received the right level of health and safety training. Renew the test and short training after three years. There is no requirement to redo a qualification.
RoofCERT accreditation is currently available to skilled roofers who have a relevant vocational qualification (NVQ/SVQ) and 3+ years experience.
A technical knowledge test must be taken—either online or face-to-face at a RoofCERT Regional Training Centre. Currently we are offering one fully funded test per operative which includes admin, revision materials and certification.
Finally to gain accreditation, a signed declaration from your employer or yourself (if you are the business owner) is required to confirm that all the relevant health and safety training has been obtained.
