If you hold a relevant National or Scottish Vocational Qualification (NVQ or SVQ), the RoofCERT accreditation process requires that you upload a copy of your qualification certificate to the system.
Your qualification must correlate to the roofing discipline you have selected to gain your RoofCERT accreditation in. For example some one with an NVQ Diploma in Roofing Occupations (Construction)—Roof Slater and Tiler would need to gain RoofCERT accreditation in the Roof Slating & Tiling discipline. It would not be possible to gain RoofCERT accreditation in another discipline such as single ply.
RoofCERT accreditation is currently being developed for experienced workers who do not hold a relevant vocational qualification.
You must have over five years of roofing experience in your chosen RoofCERT discipline and will be required to complete a professional discussion based on work-based evidence you supply as well as undertaking a practical assessment either on-site or in a regional training centre.
Further details on this route will be available soon.
